Bysshe is a short film about the Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley.
Shelley (Jaimes Celt) was the greatest and most uncompromising of the Romantic poets. In 1814 he eloped with Mary (Natalie Montenicco), daughter of the political writer William Godwin (Jason Denyer) and the early feminist writer Mary Wollstonecraft. They took with them Mary's step sister Claire Clairmont (Jodie McElligott). Bysshe examines their complex relationships, which would create the atmosphere for Shelley's most important poems and Mary's famous novel, Frankenstein.
Bysshe was shot and completed during summer 2005. Overman Productions are now developing Bysshe into a feature length film project.
